Good atmosphere, nice view and great menu
Amadeus’ history begins in 1989 when Amadeu Goncalves, a Portuguese immigrant from Portugal and patriarch of the family, arrives in Toronto and opens the Amadeus Restaurant in Kensington Market.
The name Amadeus Restaurant is a tribute to the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – the influential Austrian composer of the Classical period.
Since the death of Amadeu Goncalves in 2008, the business continues to be managed by the family.
Located in the heart of Kensington Market, Amadeus Restaurant provides great food and beverages in a lively atmosphere in the most vibrant and diverse neighborhood in Toronto.
We offer fresh homemade food everyday. On a sunny day you can sit outside on the patio enjoying the best view of the market neighborhood. We also have a charming dining room inside for entertaining large and small groups alike.
Amadeus is located at 184 Augusta Avenue. We are open Wednesdays through Monday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Closed on Tuesdays).
